  Blue Red #18

Judy created this quilted wall art in response to a challenge issued by Sewjourners, a small group of art quilters from the Sunriver, Oregon area. Each member was asked to create a wall hanging of specific dimensions using primarily the color on a given card – in this case # 18 (blue-red) - in Joen Wolfrom’s 3-in-1 Color Tool. The pieces from the group, representing the entire color wheel, were combined to make a collective exhibit entitled Color Cascade.

The collective exhibit has been featured at Pacific International Quilt Festival XIX in Santa Clara, California (October 2010), Quilt Fest of New Jersey VII (March, 2011), Fiber Arts Stroll and Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon (July, 2011), Fabric of Vision, Fiber Art Gallery in Ashland, Oregon (August, 2011), and Quilting in the Garden in Livermore, California (September, 2011).
