Always challenged to find ways to use fabrics with gradations in value and/or color, Judy created this quilt composed of simple geometric shapes. The shadowing effect surrounding the circles was created by cutting quarter-square triangles from a single fabric with slight gradations in value and color. The half-circles were selectively cut from a second fabric, joined to make complete circles, and then set into squares made from the triangles. A simple striped inner border and an outer border made from four different Asian neutrals frames the wall quilt. Geometry was never so easy!
