  CROSSING THE TYPOSHERE

Not one to let fabric go unused, Judy created the pieced center and bindings for this wall hanging from a Lonni Rossi remnant measuring 27 inches by 44 inches and purchased at a sale table for just two dollars.  First, a 24-inch square was cut from the remnant and the remaining fabric was cut into strips.  Next, random lengthwise and crosswise cuts were made in the square, and the fabric strips were inserted in the cuts. Finally the remaining strips were set aside for use in the binding. Waste not, want not!

The quilt was juried into the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival XVII, February, 2006, Hampton, Virginia.
